IMPACT

We want to make a difference on a local and global level.

We want our community to be transformed simply because we exist. We want to see change transformation worldwide through our concentrated efforts. We desire life change in those who walk through our doors. At First Christian Church, we believe the best way to make an impact is to narrow our focus. We know there are hundreds of things we could “be about,” but to have the most impact we focus on simplicity.

Below you’ll find pictures, videos, stories, and links to learn more about how we make an impact together here in Canton and around the world.

I just met with Wedson last Tuesday.  It was the first time I had really sat down with him and talked with him outside of the casual, “What’s up?” on the street. A few days ago his friend Adlyn came to me and asked if I could meet with Wedson because he had some questions about Jesus.

So, Wedson and I pieced together his little bit of English with my little bit of Kreyol and the outcome was Wedson deciding he wanted to lay down his self-desires and ask Jesus be the Master of his life.  He asked me, “How do I get baptized?”

Wedson is planning on taking the plunge Thursday, in the meantime, he is sending out invitations for all his friends.  Wish you could be here to cheer him on when he comes up out of that water!
